We are dedicated to helping our community
Our outreach mission is to promote interest in and knowledge of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) principles throughout Guilford County, NC schools, and the communities they serve. We want to develop leadership, business, teamwork, communication and other life skills while developing them through team membership, outreach opportunities, critical thinking, public speaking and unique experiences, promoting full participation in all aspects of the club by all members.
HIGHLIGHT EVENTS
Girls World Expo
Teams from ECG Robotics participated in Girls’ World Expo, where girls of all ages were introduced to robotics, sparking their interests in STEM subjects as they learned how the robots were built, coded, and driven.
Nc kickoff Seminar
Our teams created presentations with all sorts of tips to help other teams prepare for the FTC season like Introduction to Drivetrains and Marketing: Make It Loud!
Reaching out to the county
One team—Wannabee Strange— spoke to the Guilford County Board about the importance of robotics as a part of their project to make robotics a Varsity Sport.

Core Values
We express Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition in everything we do as a club: at competitions, while building, and during outreach events.
We also spread the core values of FIRST as we encourage members of our community to incorporate teamwork and inclusion in all that they do. These values define everything we do as a club as we continue to inspire the younger members of the community to participate in robotics.
Our Impact
Through our outreach, ECG Robotics has not only reached out to communities at a local level, but at the state and international level. We've attended events such as FIRST advocacy day to reach out to Congress about the importance of robotics, and we've spoken to the County as well. We have mentored teams internationally and locally, and we've spent a countless number of hours emphasizing the importance of STEM skills.
